1989 Gibson Varnish F-5Sold! This mandolin was built for Doyle Lawson and presented to him April 1989 By Gibson! It was built to Doyle's specs, Varnish finish, Flowerpot, Dovetail joint, no pickguard! All of this was different than what was being built in Montana at the time! It was built in Nashville TN in the Gibson Custom Shop. It is pictured on the front of one of the albums Doyle used it on! It is signed by Jim Triggs and includes a Loar style case! It sounds great with the vintage dry tone!!
