1989 Gibson Varnish F-5 Sold!
This mandolin was built for Doyle Lawson and presented to him April
1989 By Gibson! It was built to Doyle's specs, Varnish finish, Flowerpot,
Dovetail joint, no pickguard! All of this was different than what was
being built in Montana at the time! It was built in Nashville TN in the
Gibson Custom Shop. It is pictured on the front of one of the albums
Doyle used it on! It is signed by Jim Triggs and includes a Loar style
case! It sounds great with the vintage dry tone!!

Nicely flamed, attractive satin finish, slight radiused board, slim
comfortable speed neck, nice tone, good strong chop, plays and sounds
very good! Nice overall workmanship, really a good value in this price
range!

1999 Paganoni F-5 DL#6 Sold!
Extremely rare and hard to find Master Model by John Paganoni! This
is a Doyle Lawson model ,which means Doyle hand selected the woods
to be used! It is colored identical to his 23 Loar, very Loarish in sound!
Paganoni mandolins rarely come up for sale and its usually only to the
owner moving to a Fern or Loar. Exceptional sounding mandolin, shows
very little play wear as its been in a collection of a non-player, its
ready!!!
Signed May 1999 by Doyle Lawson and comes with the orginal
handmade Pag. Loar style case!

Engleman top, red maple back, sides and neck, 1-1/8 nut, 10"radiused
board, Bill James engraved tailpiece, Shaller tuners, Satin sunburst,
excellent sounding and playing mandolin, Beautiful! A while back I
traded for Pomeroy #44, I was so impressed I had to get another, this
one is #125 and is Stunning!! Very powerful and very clean
workmanship, has a special date of July 9th comes in a white Eastman
fiberglass case!

headstock, Waverly tuners, Bill James tailpiece, X braced, very well built
mandolin very versatile! It has a good bluegrass bark, but would mix
well in any other types of music,Jazz, Celtic etc.
Joseph has a great background in building, such as working with
Lawrence Smart.
This is a great mandolin for those who do not care to step beyond the
traditional barriers! New its $5000, this one is Excellent

This is a powerful mandolin and is one that I hate to give up! It is
formally owned and used by Wayne Benson! This mandolin is pictured
on the front of "Grandpa"s Mandolin" album! Heavy playing wear, but
sounds great and a recent set up by Gibson makes it "JUST RIGHT"!

Signed by Charlie Derrington June 29th 2001! Excellent older Master
Model that has been played in! Its a bluegrasser, fingerboard
extension professionaly removed and nice binding work!! It has a
headstock scroll repair, not very noticeable from the front! A few
scratches and dings, but you know, Gibson charges more for this stuff!!!
